BEAUTY QUEENS! (or, Libba Bray; how I adore thee)

I just got back from being away for a week, and it was agony knowing that my copy of Libba Bray's BEAUTY QUEENS had been delivered to my house on its May 24th release day. (I'm also bummed that I missed Libba's NYC appearances last week while I was away in the Outer Banks.) Now that I'm home and finished with my vacation reads, I am now free to go chill in my backyard hammock, sip lemonade with a paper umbrella, and dig into this book. *cue island music*

I've been so excited for this book, which is described as a LORD OF THE FLIES for girls, and placed my pre-order as soon as it was available back in November. But I'm pretty much thrilled by anything Libba does, honestly. I devoured her GEMMA DOYLE trilogy, and GOING BOVINE was absolutely freakin' brilliant. (Her blog and Twitter feed are quite wonderful as well.)
